Voice Your Vision Feedback
Several priorities have been identified for the visual arts by those at the event. They are:
- INFORMATION: A one stop-shop for everything that's going on
- PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: More mentoring, and connecting with others
- BROKERING: Connecting artists with others and create opportunities for their work
- A SKILLS BASED HUB
- DATA AND RESEARCH: A central hub
- NEW MODELS: Generating support/revenue through social enterprise etc.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? TPWM will put into action:
ARTIST NEWS AND OPPORTUNITIES TPWM EMAIL BULLETIN (START: NOV/DEC 2010)
TPWM will coordinate and act as the central hub for the submission of information to us – this will include Funding, Commissions, Calls for Work, Courses & Workshops, Jobs, Residencies, Internships – email artistsnews&opportunitiestpwm@bcu.ac.uk to subscribe.
LISTING OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES FOR VISUAL ARTISTS (START: DEC 2010/JAN 2011)
TPWM is currently mapping Artist Professional Development Opportunities across the region and will create a list to signpost to those delivering the services.
As a regional network TPWM can implement some priorities quickly, others will be developed by the Action Group with the TPWM network as we continue the conversations from Monday, online and through future events. TPWM’s role is to support, where possible those priorities that will bring a strategic benefit for the West Midlands and its visual arts network (as distinct from individual projects). Our role is also to advocate and input to the cultural and political debate, placing visual artists at the heart of that debate.
